Local tagging, but more extreme...

"Green Skull" The local artists have done a great job, and I really enjoy taking pictures of their work. I plan on seeking out more as time goes by as I find it both fascinating and interesting. This one I found in the same place as the one below. The image is obviously altered color wise, but that's what I like about them. They give me an opportunity to become an artist as well, partially through their media.

Stillife... or is it just sleeping?

Painting with night-lights

I wanted to see what it would be like to play with the Tv effects on the way home. It's a first run, so now great expectations. This is shot from my moving car while at 35MPH. I wish I had a tripod...

Water and Air

I went to Kent today, and stoped along the way to check out the high water level in the river. I also hiked to the library during the afternoon which produced some nice clouds. And of course, another cat from yesterday made it as well. So, here they are:

"Peace Paw" or better known as So-So with the gauntlet-paw. Here she graciously extends here better side, however.

"Tags" Local tags from the Kent area.

"Speedy Water" I wonder how cold that really is...

"Weiry Sky" I'm not sure if I like this color of it, but maybe it'll grow on me.

Self Portrait Against Mirror

Artistic shots...perhaps?

Here's a photo I created using Picasa from Google. I like it. Can you guess what it is?

What camera do I use?

Well, here's what I got:

Canon Digital Rebel XTi, 10.1 Megapixels, with the EF-S 18-55mm lens.

http://www.canon.com/

Does anyone have any Canon lenses they wish to send me?

A jar of pickled salmon...

I'm tired - I worked all weekend, and now I'm beat. The weather wasn't too bad, but it did rain some, and that made everything colder. My students were ok, and we had a good time. Once home, I unloaded the camera and edited a few snaps which I'm sharing here. One is a self portrait which I took against a tree, and the others of one of my cats, and a sunset. Enjoy.

Pump Handle

Pump Handle. Also from Cuyahoga Valley at the Szaly's Farm, right by the Ranger Station & Visitors place.

The first post of many...

I figured out how to showcase my photos without having to pay for more webspace. Here it is, the photo blog. Or, f/log... Does that make flog? Not sure, but anyways, here are some pictures:

Child At Door. I took this photo late in the afternoon, and I think that's why the colors are so rich. It turned out pretty good, I think, and I printed it as a 5x7 which was very nice indeed.

Cat and Christmas Lights. This one is indoors, but using no flash. She's a very good poser...

Reflected Church. From a hike in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Pretty cloudy,
but turned out well.
